§ A note

Everything here is written slowly and by hand, the way I would want it read. If a piece helps you notice the season you are in, it has done its work.

The Monthly Shadow Work Journal & Tarot Spread Guide: July is a 74-page digital book from us for deep self-inquiry, shadow work, tarot journaling, reflective practice, and somatic integration.

With months of research behind it, this edition is built around the theme The Teacher, a month for looking honestly at your relationship to being taught, being guided, outgrowing authority, and becoming your own inner teacher. We designed it as a four-week practice beginning around the July 14 new moon and moving through the lunar cycle toward Guru Purnima, the full moon on July 29.

Across four weekly inquiries, you explore the teachers you have outgrown, the lessons that keep returning, the difference between the inner critic and the inner teacher, and the final movement of becoming your own guru. Each week includes journaling prompts, a custom tarot spread, a reflective timing note, and a closing somatic practice to help the body integrate what the mind has named.

The July booklet works with powerful symbolic themes including Guru Purnima, Shravana nakshatra, Jupiter as the teacher, Saturn as the slow teacher, Mercury as the inner voice, the ninth house of teachers and higher learning, and the Atmakaraka as the inner guide. Rather than using these as predictions, we use timing and symbolism as a reflective structure for listening, discernment, authority, and self-trust.

This is ideal for readers interested in shadow work journaling, tarot spreads, moon meditation, Guru Purnima reflection, somatic practice, chronobiology, lunar cycle work, and spiritual self-inquiry.

It is a guide for listening longer than is comfortable, releasing old authority patterns, and learning to hear the teacher within.

This booklet is for anyone who wants a deeper monthly practice than ordinary journaling.

It is especially suited for readers interested in shadow work, tarot spreads, moon meditation, Guru Purnima, lunar journaling, somatic awareness, chronobiology, and spiritual self-inquiry.

You do not need to be advanced in tarot or chart work. The tarot spreads can deepen the work, but the journaling prompts and somatic practices can stand on their own.

July’s shadow work theme is The Teacher.

This month asks you to examine your relationship with authority, guidance, discipline, learning, approval, and inner wisdom. Some teachers shaped you and still deserve honour. Some you have outgrown. Some lessons keep returning because they have not yet been fully learned. Some inner voices sound like teachers but are actually old criticism wearing a spiritual or professional costume.

The work of this booklet is not to reject every teacher. It is to listen clearly enough to know which teachings are still alive, which ones no longer fit, and where your own inner authority is ready to speak.

The four weekly inquiries

Week One: The Teachers You Have Outgrown
A shadow work inquiry into mentors, methods, advice, institutions, and authorities you may still be seeking permission from even after you have outgrown them.

Week Two: The Lesson That Keeps Returning
A journaling and tarot practice for the recurring pattern, repeated consequence, or slow lesson that keeps appearing until it is fully learned.

Week Three: The Inner Critic and the Inner Teacher
A Guru Purnima inquiry into the difference between the harsh inner critic and the quieter inner teacher. This week includes a Hierophant tarot spread designed for the full moon teacher theme.

Week Four: Becoming Your Own Guru
A closing inquiry into self-trust, responsibility, inner authority, and the maturity of no longer waiting for someone else to confirm what you already know.

Chronobiology is the study of biological rhythms, the way the body responds to time, light, rest, repetition, and cycles.

This July booklet naturally connects with chronobiology because the practice is built around rhythm: the new moon, the full moon, weekly inquiry, evening reflection, body-based listening, and the nervous system’s response to repetition and quiet. July’s theme is not simply mental. It asks the reader to listen through the body as well as the mind.

The somatic practices support this rhythm by bringing attention to the ears, throat, chest, grounded posture, and the gesture of self-blessing. That makes the booklet feel both mystical and embodied: a lunar shadow work practice that listens to timing, the body, and the deeper cycles underneath daily life.

A practice, not a prediction

This is not a horoscope, prediction service, or substitute for therapy.

It is a monthly July shadow work booklet for listening, journaling, tarot reflection, symbolic timing, and somatic integration. The purpose is to help you hear what has been hidden underneath old teachers, repeated lessons, inner criticism, and the search for external permission.
