§ A note

Everything here is written slowly and by hand, the way I would want it read. If a piece helps you notice the season you are in, it has done its work.

The Monthly Shadow Work Journal & Tarot Spread Guide: September is a 74-page digital book from us for deep self-inquiry, shadow work, tarot journaling, reflective practice, and somatic integration.

With months of research behind it, this edition is built around the theme The Inheritance, a month for looking honestly at what you are carrying that you never chose. We designed it as a four-week practice beginning around the 11 September new moon and moving through the lunar cycle toward the full moon on 26 September, which opens the fortnight of the ancestors.

Across four weekly inquiries, you explore the bundle you were handed before you could refuse it, the inherited rule standing at the gate of what you allow yourself to want, the honest accounting of what was given and what it cost, and the final movement of choosing what you actually want to keep. Each week includes journaling prompts, a custom tarot spread, a reflective timing note, and a closing somatic practice to help the body integrate what the mind has named.

The September booklet works with powerful symbolic themes including Uttara Bhadrapada and Revati nakshatras, Saturn as the planet of inherited weight, the fourth house of what the home hands down, the ninth house of lineage, Ganesh Chaturthi and the obstacle that turns out to be a doorkeeper, and the three classical debts the month names in sequence: to the divine, to the teachers, and to the ancestors. Rather than using these as predictions, we use timing and symbolism as a reflective structure for separating what was given from what was chosen.

This is ideal for readers interested in shadow work journaling, tarot spreads, moon meditation, ancestral and family-pattern work, somatic practice, chronobiology, lunar cycle work, and spiritual self-inquiry.

It is a guide for doing the audit rather than the repudiation, so that what you keep, you keep on purpose.

This booklet is for anyone who wants a deeper monthly practice than ordinary journaling, and especially for anyone who has recently caught themselves reproducing a voice they did not choose.

It is especially suited for readers interested in shadow work, tarot spreads, moon meditation, ancestral work, Pitru Paksha, lunar journaling, somatic awareness, chronobiology, and spiritual self-inquiry.

You do not need to be advanced in tarot or chart work. The tarot spreads can deepen the work, but the journaling prompts and somatic practices can stand on their own.

September’s shadow work theme is The Inheritance.

This month asks you to examine what arrived before you did. Some of what you carry is genuinely yours. Much of it is not. You inherited a posture, a set of instructions about what is safe to want, a way of holding money, a way of holding anger, and a definition of a good person that someone else wrote and you have been paying interest on ever since.

None of that makes you a victim. It makes you a link in a chain, which is a different and much more interesting thing.

The work of this booklet is not to repudiate anyone. It is to do the audit clearly enough to know which inheritances are still alive, which no longer fit, and which you would choose again if the choosing were yours.

Week One: The Unchosen Load
A shadow work inquiry into the bundle you were handed before you could refuse it: what is in it, who packed it, and how much you are still carrying out of habit. Tarot spread: The Bundle, three cards.

Week Two: The Doorkeeper
A Ganesh Chaturthi inquiry into the inherited rule standing at the gate of what you allow yourself to want, and the honest question of which obstacles are real, which are expired, and which are simply a doorkeeper still following an old instruction. Tarot spread: The Gate, four cards.

Week Three: The Ledger
The accounting week. What you were given, what it cost, what you have paid back, and what the tradition would call a debt rather than a fault. Tarot spread: The Ledger, five cards.

Week Four: The Chosen Inheritance
A closing inquiry into what you actually want to keep, now that you have seen the load, the doorkeeper, and the ledger. Discarded is not the goal. Chosen is the goal. Tarot spread: The Heirloom, three cards.

Chronobiology is the study of biological rhythms, the way the body responds to time, light, rest, repetition, and cycles.

This September booklet naturally connects with chronobiology because the practice is built around rhythm: one inquiry per week, one prompt per day, an evening reflection, and a body-based closing that works with the nervous system’s response to repetition and quiet. Inherited material does not surface on demand. It surfaces when the pace is slow enough and regular enough to let it.

The month’s structure runs from the new moon in the star of rest to the full moon at the ancestors’ door, which gives the work a shape the body can feel rather than only understand.

This is not a horoscope, prediction service, or substitute for therapy.

It is a monthly September shadow work booklet for journaling, tarot reflection, symbolic timing, and somatic integration. Family material can be heavy. If something surfaces that is heavier than you can hold alone, please bring it to someone qualified to hold it with you.
